BUHARI'S ASSISTANT MOCKS PETER OBI'S IMPRISONMENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari's Special Assistant on Digital Media, has criticized Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over his arrest in the United Kingdom.

Obi, according to Ahmad, was handled in the UK like a normal criminal.

According to reports, UK Immigration held and questioned Obi for hours after his British Airways plane landed at Heathrow Airport on Friday morning for alleged impersonation.

Concerned folks have continued to respond to the situation.

In response, Ahmad stated that Obi's arrest in the UK was unacceptable.

He demanded that the UK government clarify the reasons surrounding Obi's detention to Nigerians.

The presidential adviser pondered on Twitter whether the man seized and imprisoned was the real Obi or a forgery.

"The UK should kindly tell us what they know about the numerous Peter Obis roaming around. His detention got me really disturbed.

"Was it the authentic Obi or the criminal Obi that contested and came 3rd in the February presidential election? I hope it wasn't the criminal one oo!"
