5 FACTS ABOUT ACHRAF HAKIMI AND HIBA ABOUK IN THE WAKE OF THE RAPE CONTROVERSY


Achraf Hakimi and his wife, Hiba Abouk, have been on the edge of divorce since the Paris Saint-Germain full-back is currently being probed for rape.


According to Le Parisien, Hakimi is suspected of raping a 24-year-old woman in his home in Boulogne, Paris, on February 25, while his wife and children were on vacation.


Fanny Colin, the 24-year-lawyer old's and agent, has, however, rejected all of his client's allegations.


PSG, Hakimi's club, has yet to issue an official statement on the incident due to ongoing investigations, but the footballer's marriage is all but finished.


Before the reported rape case, Hakimi and his wife had been estranged for some time and were working toward a legal separation.

1. Hakimi is 12 years younger than his 36-year-old Tunisian wife, Abouk.


2. In March of this year, Abouk referred to her marriage to Hakimi as a "failed project," revealing that her desire to divorce the Moroccan international was motivated by the fact that their marriage was nearly complete.
