1. Governorship and state Houses of Assembly candidates from various political parties, their supporters, and other stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the results of Saturday's polls, even as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, began uploading the results to its results viewing portal.


2. Rotimi Amaechi, a former Transportation Minister, has stated that the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State is not competing against the Peoples Democratic Party, but rather against the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police. Amaechi stated this to journalists after casting his vote in Ward 8, Unit 17 of the state's Ubima Ikwerre Local Government Area.


3. In Cross River State, an All Progressives Congress member was assassinated. According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday morning in Ogoja, in the northern senatorial district.
