Here are some compiled Twitter comments:
@GameMedicine, "So many chances, unfortunately, we just couldn't put any away. Chukwueze shooting it over the bar was deflating and Iwobi's deflected shot was on target. The header should have gone in, but that's how the ball bounces sometimes. Good effort today, I was proud of our squad."
@dezfootie, "Same Guinea Bissau Austin Eguavoen beat 2-0 at the Afcon in Cameroon. How far the National Team keeps falling."
@kenokeyatuegwu, "We continue losing to so-called minnows at home because we can't get something as basic as a good pitch right!! In recent memory, we have lost at home to because we can't get something as basic as a good pitch right!! In recent memory, we have lost at home to teams like Congo Brazzaville, Cape Verde, Central African Republic and now Guinea Bissau at home!! Shame on the NFF, Shame!!!!!!!!"
@OkybayTimmy, "Honestly speaking, @NGSuperEagles aren't ready for any tournaments, both continental and intercontinental. The coach is just enjoying our dollars. The boys weren't together at all. They were playing an individual game. It's a shameful game. I still don't know why we're just wasting."
@adesolafagbemi, "The coach is not
totally bad, but his changes are awful Onuachu has no business in the team and his style of play does not work in Nigeria. Above all the defence line is not coordinated. The best among them is Samuel Osayi, who has a future in the team Zaidu and Ndidi flopped."
@talk_akan, "It's the finishing in the final third and decision making. Chukwueze and Kelechi wanted to cut back instead of squaring balls the first time. Ndidi, not finishing off his two chances etc, just needs confidence and belief. The goal was avoidable, route one between 2 CBS?? We move.
@seanlakh, "The player did great, but they forgot how to rest under pressure. Osihmen was too emotional about this game and also supportive. I will blame the pitch, though, because it's not excellent. I love the fact that the coach played almost all the players."
