OBA ELEGUSHI OF IKATE KINGDOM IN LAGOS DECLARES THREE DAYS RITES AHEAD OF THE MARCH 18TH GUBERNATORIAL ELECTIONS

 

THE OBA OF IKATE KINGDOM in Lagos State have come under social media fire after he released a communique to the general public on the intentions of his Kingdom to begin a 3-Days ritual rite that would begin at about 5:30pm of Wednesday, March 15th to Saturday, March 18th and warned the general public, especially the non-indigenes and foreigners not to come out of their houses during the period of this Rite.

This order coming in such an auspicious time and exactly three days before the March 18th Gubernatorial Elections has made a lot of people question the true intention of such a rite being performed in such a time which might make a lot of people to be unable to exercise their franchise. 

In fact, some persons allegedly claimed that this Rite was earlier scheduled to be performed around March 11th which was also the previous date of the Gubernatorial election and was only shifted to the rescheduled period of the Gubernatorial election so that people would be disenfranchised intentionally. The current polity has been heated up since the concluded February 25th Presidential elections which saw a whole lot of change in the Political climate of Lagos State.
