LIONEL MESSI'S RESPONSE TO HIS MOST RECENT HONOR IS THE NICEST

The national team training center for Argentina was named after captain Lionel Messi, who has stated that it is one of the nicest honors he has ever received in his entire football career.

President of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia, had earlier in the week declared that the national team's training facility, formerly known as Casa de Ezeiza, will now be called "Lionel Andres Messi."

This is to commemorate the former Barcelona star and World Cup victor who led them to victory at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

While announcing the renaming on Twitter, Casa said the honor was a tribute to Messi, whom he called the best player in the world.

The record-breaking seven-time Ballon d'Or winner from Paris Saint-Germain then responded by posting a photo of the new nameplate alongside himself on Instagram.

"This recognition is one of the nicest I've ever received. A great honour, thank you very much!" He wrote.
