Before to the state's March 11 governorship election, Chief Bode George, a former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that a scheme was afoot to "remove" Labour Party (LP) candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
This was said by George on Monday in Lagos during a news conference.

"We wish to inform Nigerians about the heinous plan, to secretly eliminate the Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the latest move by the take Lagos occupiers, to take him out of circulation before the election on Saturday.
