ELECTION RESULTS: WIKE RIGGED FOR TINUBU - EZEIFE TELLS IGBOS, OTHERS
He argued that the electorate must be ready to speak with one voice on election day for governor on March 11 just as they did for the presidential vote.
In a statement made available to media outlets in Port Harcourt, Ezeife praised the people for their courage and tenacity in voting in the presidential election and urged them to do the same on March 11 for the APC and Tonye Cole. He also reaffirmed that the party is committed to working with the electorate to overthrow Wike's vote-rigging mechanisms and hand back power to the people in accordance with democratic norms.
Ezeife expressed shock at what he claimed to be Nyesom Wike's obscene act of desperation to usurp democracy and impose his will on the populace. He claimed the governor colluded with security agencies and INEC officials to rig the results in clear violation of the electoral process and the actual outcome of the elections.
Ezeife stated that in order to save democracy, give the people back their power, and create strong institutions to support and strengthen the development of our political system, the people must fight and resist the Governor's notoriety for exposing himself as an evil force by engaging in anti-people practices to further his egotistical personal vendetta.
"Now that we have observed the antecedents and tactics of Governor Nyesom Wike in his desperation to undermine the values of the Democratic system, I wish to appeal to all Rivers State people across political leanings to unite and prepare accordingly and ensure that Wike's plot of a third term through enforcing Sim Fubura on us as the next Governor of Rivers State is not only frustrated but unrealizable. We can't allow Wike to install his stooges just to protect how he looted our common patrimony to an animalistic level to stand.
"The documents and video clips of all the evil acts are assembled and will be tabled at the Tribunals accordingly", Ezeife noted.
Ezeife urged the people of Rivers to come together and vote for Tonye Cole and all of the APC's House of Assembly candidates on March 11 in order to protect their votes. He also assured them that the APC was prepared to stand up to Wike's evil plots and free the state from his thieving cabal, which had stolen its soul and reduced its citizens to paupers despite the enormous oil wealth the state had reaped over the previous eight years.
Ezeife urged ndi Igbo residents of Rivers State to reject any invitation to meet with Governor Nyesom Wike for any reason. He emphasized that the Governor had used every state apparatus at his disposal to thwart all legitimate efforts to ensure that the results of their votes were reflected in the results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
"Ndi Igbo must resist every temptation to fall for the Greek gift the Governor intends to offer them and remain firm in their resolve to galvanize support for the APC Governorship Candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole who has shown a sufficient sense of passion for the course of ndi Igbo in Rivers State and the suffering displaced traders of the various markets in Port Harcourt."
"Through thick and thin the APC stood and still stands with Igbos, resident in Rivers State and it is only fair at this moment to reciprocate their sacrifices with genuine, unwavering support to dislodge every force of evil that has stood against the progress of our people, shattered the things that bind us together as one people and truncated the development of Rivers State for selfish interests" Ezeife noted.
