DOGARA REMOVES THE GOVERNOR OF BAUCHI AND SUPPORTS ABUBAKAR

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Bauchi State, Air Marshall Sadiq Baba Abubakar (rtd), has received unexpected support from Mr. Yakubu Dogara, the recently-retired Speaker of the House of Representatives. The election is scheduled for next week.

Dogara led an Air Marshall Sadiq Baba Abubakar campaign team to some of the local governments in Bauchi, including Kirfi and Alkaleri, the hometowns of Governor Bala Mohammed, where he urged the populace to follow the road of honor by voting Bala Mohammed out of office.

Dogara insisted that the state wants a change in leadership while addressing a sizable throng of supporters on Wednesday in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

He said: "We came to tell you the truth, that we need to effect a change of leadership in Bauchi State. I came here to enlighten you that even though your son (Governor Mohammed) is there but since he is not doing well we should change him. I urge you all to cast your vote for Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar on Saturday."

Dogara Recall that during the recently ended National Assembly elections, Dogara supported and delivered Shehu Buba for the Bauchi South Senatorial District and Jafaru Leko for his Federal Constituency of Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa.

The former Speaker is a PDP (People's Democratic Party) supporter and a member of the party's presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's campaign council.

He assisted in organizing and directing a coalition of political parties and interest groups in Bauchi in 2019, which resulted in the removal of the previous governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar and the installation of Senator Bala Mohammed.

He described Air Marshall Abubakar as a father who will bring succour to the people of Bauchi State.
