Senator Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, the former governor of Enugu State, formed the Ebeano political organisation, which has now joined the All Progressives Party, APC.

Chief Emmanuel Okwor, Chairman of Ebeano, made the news on Tuesday in Enugu.

The news comes just one day after its leader, Chimaroke, declared his intention to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Former Enugu governor, Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party, LP, had been lamenting his loss of the Enugu East senatorial district seat to the former governor.

"The alliance with APC is to consolidate the partnership with
President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve good governance in the
country," Okwo said.

He went on to say that members of the 'Ebeano' political family from around the country had been consulted and were in accord with the coalition in the people's interest.
