AFTER LOSING TO GUINEA-BISSAU, THE SUPER EAGLES BEG NIGERIANS TO KEEP SUPPORTING THEM
Following their disappointing loss to the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau on Friday, the Super Eagles have pleaded with Nigerians to continue their support.
The Eagles were defeated in front of ardent home supporters thanks to Mama Balde's lone goal in the 29th minute of play.
In the second half, Jose Peseiro's team had twelve chances to score but were unable to do so.
"Please don't give up on us. We know you deserve more and we're very much on course to make you happy," reads a tweet on the team's official Twitter handle.
When they play the Djurtus in the rematch on Monday, the Super Eagles will have another opportunity to exact revenge on their opponents.
The three-time African champions will retake first place in Group A with a victory.
