FOUR BARCELONA PLAYERS HAVE STATED THAT THEY DO NOT WANT MESSI TO RETURN TO CAMP NOU
According to reports, four Barcelona players are opposed to the Spanish La Liga leaders' plans to sign their former captain Lionel Messi again.
According to El Nacional, Marc Andre-Ter-Stegen, Robert Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, and Ousmane Dembele are the four players who are opposed to Barcelona's plan to bring Messi back to the team.
Lewandowski reportedly wants to star for Barcelona and direct their offense the following season, according to the report.
But the Polish international is aware that if he wants to avoid Zlatan Ibrahimovic's fate, a former Barcelona striker, he must modify his style to fit Messi's.
Since Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona, Fati has worn the number 10 jersey.
The Spanish player, who is hesitant to part with the jersey, is aware that his future at Barcelona is already in doubt, and it is expected that he will be traded to free up space.
Dembele reportedly opposes Messi's comeback because it will force him to compete for a starting spot. The France international desires to start each and every game but is aware that it will be impossible with the World Cup champion from Argentina on the team.
Meanwhile, Ter Stegen and Messi have not gotten along. The German goalkeeper had issues with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner and is worried that once Messi moves to Camp Nou, Barcelona manager Xavi will remove his position as fourth-choice captain.
