A NURSE DIED IN SPECIALTY HOSPITAL IN ZAMFARA STATE

Asma'u Lawali Bungudu

Asma'u Lawali Bungudu, a nurse at the Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura Specialty Hospital in Zamfara State, slumped while performing her duties and was pronounced dead.

According to the Tribune, the nurse was in good health when she arrived at the hospital early on Wednesday morning for work, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The incident was confirmed by the hospital's spokeswoman, Auwal Usman, who noted that Asma'u was at her duty station and had tested the blood pressure of roughly 30 patients before complaining to a doctor about a cardiac problem.

The hospital spokeswoman continued by stating that after she complained, she instantly slumped and medical personnel hurried to save her.

"The medical doctors tried all they could to save her life but they couldn't as she died instantly," he added.

Usman claims that the hospital's management group, which is chaired by Dr. Usman Muhammad Shanawa, the medical director, has given the deceased's body to his or her kin.

When reached, a relative of the deceased nurse confirmed that Asmau left her home on Wednesday morning, healthy and unharmed, and went to the hospital where she works as a nurse.

"She was buried today by 5 pm at Malan Abdurrahaman House, Magama Area, Bungudu according to Islamic injunction," the relative added.
