SIMON EKPA, THE SELF-ACCLAIMED SECOND IN COMMAND OF IPOB HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY THE FINNISH POLICE

The self-acclaimed leader of the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB HAVE been ARRESTED today in his home in Finland by the Finnish Police in collaboration with Interpol. The picture above depicts the Simon Ekpa in cuffs being taken away from his home in presence of the Finnish Police. This incident follows the numerous calls by the citizens in Nigeria and in the Diaspora who have countlessly sought his arrest due to the incessant Sit-At-Home Orders and the accompanying killings of unarmed Nigerians by the hands of Unknown Gunmen whom have been linked to him and were said to be enforcing his orders in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. This news was confirmed by the Finnish Government by the communique that they sent out to the public as below-
His arrest today followed an earlier interview he had with the Finnish News TV where his activities against the Government of Nigeria were questioned. In Summary,
Simon Ekpa said that all he did was to stand for the People of Biafra by declaring Sit At Homes in protest to the marginalization of his people and that the deaths that resulted from it was by the hands of the Nigeria Government and that he isn't liable for it.
However, when asked why he didn't go down to Nigeria to protest, he claimed that he will be clamped down by the Nigeria Government just as Nnamdi Kanu was. Nevertheless, A lot of people from the South East have declared their interest to exercise their franchise as Nigerians in the oncoming elections on the 25th of February, yet Simon Ekpa through his Twitter handle @ekpsimon declared 'No Elections in Igbo Land' and a 'Sit at Home plus a Saturday curfew on the very day of election' all in the South East.
Simon Ekpa's activities and incessant Sit at Home Orders in conjunction with Unknown Gunmen enforcing the orders have led to the death of many persons most especially within the south eastern region of Nigeria.
With his arrest today, lots of persons living in the South Eastern part of Nigeria are now more willing to vote in the oncoming elections on Saturday the 25th of February and the 14th of March 2023.
