OBI WINS 12 OF THE 21 LG ELECTIONS, ACCORDING TO THE ANAMBRA RESULTS
Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, is expected to win by a wide margin in the results of the presidential elections held on Saturday in his state.
The Independent National Election Commission, INEC, has ruled that the Labour Party has won all 12 local government areas.
Dunukofia, Ayamelum, Anambra West, Nnewi South, Aguata, Njikoka, Ekwusigo, and Anaocha are among the local government areas whose names have already been released.
Additional local government areas include Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Anambra East, and Awka North.
The Labour Party has received nearly 98% of the votes cast so far in all the local government areas where elections have been declared.
