COURT CONFISCATED KOGI GOVERNMENT-RELATED PROPERTIES IN LAGOS, ABUJA, AND DUBAI
Following an ex parte motion filed and argued by EFCC counsel Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo, SAN, in the case FHC/L/CS/301/2023, Judge Nicholas Oweibo issued the order.
Oyedepo advised the judge that there was a good chance the properties, including the one in the Burj Khalifa, the highest structure in the world, were the result of criminal conduct.
Judge Oweibo also gave the EFCC permission to seize the N400 million that had been recovered from Aminu Falala and was connected to the State.

Oyedepo further told the court that the N400m was reasonably suspected to have been derived from unlawful activity "and intended to be used for the acquisition of Plot No. 1224 Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos."
