OBI UNPRESIDENTIAL - DINO MELAYE
Melaye argued that Obi's outburst was uncalled for and unpresidential.
Obi and Melaye engaged in a minor drama during the Arise TV-hosted presidential debate.
A participant who wished to ask a question was labeled as "Obi people" by Melaye.
Melaye's remark incensed Obi, who shot back angrily at the PDP leader.
He said: "Stop that Dino. Why are you always calling me? I won't take that. This man is from ANPP. Why are you calling him Obi people?"
Melaye said he did not provoke Obi during the discussion, though.
The former Kogi West senator said that Obi would be tolerant as president in a series of tweets.
"He wrote: "He (Peter Obi) was not provoked. I was sitting far opposite the top seat, where they were sitting, I didn't mention his name and I was really surprised to see that type of outburst from a presidential candidate.
"Is that the type of president he is going to make, just taking on people and showing unpresidential characteristics?
"That outburst is unwarranted, very unpresidential, unacceptable of a leader. A leader must be mature."
