KWANKWASO CHALLENGES TINUBU, SAYING, "OKOWA IS BETTER THAN YOU"
Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), criticized Bola Tinubu, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), for skipping the presidential debate in Abuja.
Kwankwaso argued that Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP's choice for vice president, was superior to Tinubu.
At the discussion held by Arise Television and the Centre for Development and Democracy, CDD, in Abuja on Sunday, Okowa spoke on behalf of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
The Labour Party's Peter Obi and the All Progressives Congress's Kwankwaso, Atiku, and Tinubu were both expected to attend the debate.
Atiku, who wasn't there at the ceremony, sent a delegate, but Tinubu didn't go or send anyone.
Speaking at the event, Kwankwaso remarked that certain presidential contenders' busy schedules may necessitate having their running partners represent them at gatherings.
Kwankwaso claims that: "No candidate can boast of saying 'I will attend all of them.'
"Whichever group that is having this sort of thing should accept it.
"I think the man sitting here (pointing to Okowa) is better than the person who did not come or send any representative."
