FRAUD CASE: HUSHPUPPI'S FATE WILL BE DECIDED ON MONDAY

There are indications that Hushpuppi, a popular Instagram user from Nigeria, Ramon Abbas, would learn his destiny on fraud allegations on Monday in the United States.

It was widely reported earlier on Friday that Hushpuppi had been given an 11-year prison sentence in the US, however BBC News says this is untrue.

Hushpuppi is a reputed internet fraudster from Nigeria who was detained in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2020. On July 3, he was extradited to the United States.

According to information obtained by MON DIARIES, Hushpuppi deceived almost 1.9 million people, many of whom were Americans.

To the accusations leveled against him, the 37-year-old entered a guilty plea.

The sentencing was delayed to Monday, November 7, 2022 by trial judge Otis Wright of the US Central District Court in California in October 2022.

"Counsels are notified, the sentencing is continued to November 7, 2022, at 11.30 am as to Defendant Ramon Olorunwa Abbas," the court's announcement changing the revealed sentencing.
