ANAMBRA GOVERNOR SOLUDO CRITICIZES PETER OBI AND DECLARES HIS CHOICE FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT
Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has endorsed Justice Peter Umeadi, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for president.
The governor criticized Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, at the same time by claiming that the Obidient Movement is a PDP branch.
The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, said that APGA is still the third-largest political party in the nation in a statement by his Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Supporting any other party could harm APGA's chances in the general election of 2023, according to Soludo, who thinks the main opposition party did not treat the Southeast fairly when it zoned its presidency to the North.
He said: "APGA remains the third largest political party in Nigeria, considering the number of political offices it has won.
"APGA has a State governor, members of the National Assembly and members of the state assemblies.
"APGA does not consider the wave of the 'Obidient Movement' as a threat towards achieving its set goals in 2023.
"The LP and the 'Obidient Movement' are offshoots of the PDP. Therefore, they pose a big threat to PDP, not APGA."
APGA was Soludo's party of choice as he ran for governor of Anambra in November 2021 and won.
