U.S. COURT POSTPONES SOCIALITE HUSHPUPPI'S SENTENCING AGAIN
The United States District Court for Central District of California has again postponed the sentencing of embattled internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi.
The 39-year-old, who pleaded guilty to multimillion-dollar fraud charges, was billed to be sentenced on Monday, October 3, but the trial judge, Otis Wright, announced that Mr Abbas will now be sentenced on Monday, November 7, 2022.
According to reports, the court announced that: "COUNSEL ARE NOTIFIED, the Sentencing is CONTINUED to November 7, 2022 at 11:30 am. as to Defendant Ramon Olorunwa Abbas."
The sentence hearing was initially moved by Judge Wright from 14 February to 11 July before shifting it to 21 September and now 7 November.
Hushpuppi was arrested in June 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirate (UAE) alongside 12 others on allegations of hacking, impersonation, scamming, banking fraud, and identity theft and was extradited to the United States for prosecution.
