POPULAR ISLAMIC CLERIC IN KWARA STATE IS DEAD

Popular Islamic cleric in Kwara State Sheikh Abdulganiyu Nuraini, aka Alfa Gani Aboto, is dead

The cleric and two of his aides, Alfa Azeez Omoekun and Alfa Nurudeen, were killed in flood waters on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

They were returning from da'awah activity in Minna, Niger State, when the flood swept away his Toyota Yaris car as he attempted to cross a bridge near Harmony Estate/Kukende in Ilorin's Akerebiata area.

The state fire service recovered the car and their bodies from a river near the Olusola Saraki Abattoir on Sobi Army Barracks Road in Ilorin.
