JOEBOY'S REACTS TO ASA'S N300M COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT NOTICE

Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, a Nigerian ace singer and songwriter, has responded to the copyright infringement notice sent to him by award-winning singer Asa.

Joeboy released his second single of the year, an afro-fusion tune titled "Contour," on August 19, 2022, produced by ace beat maker Tempoe.

A few weeks after the song's release. Joeboy was allegedly served with a notice alleging that the song "Contour" infringed on Asa's copyright. According to the letter, "Contour" infringed on the copyright of a musical composition created by Asa during a recording session on September 22nd, 2022, with Tempoe in attendance.
