CHELSEA VS. MANCHESTER UNITED MATCH CONFIRMED

Chelsea's Premier League match against Manchester United will kick off at 5.30 p.m. on October 22.

The Premier League confirmed this in a statement on Friday.

However, United's away ticket allocation has been reduced from 2,994 to 2,370.

The Metropolitan Police wanted to reduce United's allocation to 1,500, but after negotiations, a figure was reached.

United has written to the 2,994 fans who have already been assigned tickets for the Stamford Bridge match.

"Everyone at Manchester United shares the inevitable disappointment and frustration about both the reduced allocation, and the long delay in confirming arrangements for this game. Over recent years, we have made significant progress in protecting away ticket allocations for our fans and we can assure you that we will continue to fight for this in future. Thank you for your continued loyal support," the letter read in part.
