Ambassadors from France and Rwanda on a courtesy visit praise gov. Ugwuanyi's hospitality and Enugu's potential

At the Government House in Enugu yesterday, Mrs. Blatmann paid Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State a courtesy call.

Mrs. Emmanuelle Blatmann, the French ambassador to Nigeria, has recognised the enormous potential of Enugu State, particularly in agriculture and other resources that ensure food and security.

The French Ambassador was in Enugu for a number of official events, including the groundbreaking ceremony for the facility that processes medicinal plants, a visit to the Alliance Française and the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).

A cooperation between the Nigerian company Priscilla Davis and the French company Cailleau Herboristerie is responsible for the project.

Similarly, Amb. Stanislas Kamanzi, the Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria, was paying Gov. Ugwuanyi a courtesy visit at the Government House in Enugu.

The Rwandan High Commissioner, who was in Enugu for the 2022 LIMCAF competition's grand finale, was escorted to the Government House by Prince Victor Ogakwu, Chief Loretta Aniagolu, and other members of the LIMCAF Board of Trustees (BOT).

Amb. Kamanzi thanked Gov. Ugwuanyi for his cordial welcome during his first visit to Enugu.

The delegation praised Enugu's friendliness and calm atmosphere, emphasizing that "the city is very hospitable."

He stated that the trip was an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties between Rwanda and Nigeria, especially with Enugu State, and that he was delighted to begin communicating with the locals.

"I am very much honoured and humbled to meet you (Ugwuanyi) on my first visit to Enugu. This is an opportunity for us to expand the bond between Rwanda and Nigeria, particularly this state (Enugu).

"A place you will go as a diplomat and it becomes your home; so I always consider this place (Enugu) as my home and a friendly place with the Rwandans. I will be kind to take this message to my leaders.

"As we came, we were received with honour and the reception was so befitting. So, I conclude by once again thanking and assuring you (Ugwuanyi), that we will convey the positive message of what we witnessed here," the Rwandan Ambassador said.
