2023: "I WILL WORK AGAINST THE APC IN THE OGUN GUBER ELECTION" - AMOSUN

Bikunle Amosun, a former governor of Ogun State and a senator for Ogun Central, has declared he will not back the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State in 2023.

Amosun declared that while he would work to ensure that the APC's Bola Tinubu won the presidency of Nigeria, he would not back other party candidates in the state of Ogun.

Amosun claimed that all the factions within the Ogun APC are in support of Tinubu and will all work for his victory when asked how the crisis roiling the APC in Ogun and other states would not affect his chances of winning the election.

He vowed not to hide behind a finger, though, and said he would not back the APC in the governorship election.

"For the presidential election, I can assure you, all the APC factions in Ogun are working for the presidential candidate of the APC. But for the governorship race, we are not together. and my supporters are not supporting the APC," he said.

Amosun explained that those of his supporters who wanted to hold office within the APC were not treated fairly during the primary elections.
