WOMAN FACES LIFE IN PRISON AFTER CRASHING HER VAN INTO HER BOYFRIEND

A woman faces life in prison after crashing her van into her boyfriend and killing another after reading text messages between him and her sister.

Taah'viya Chapman, 24, is facing life in prison after crashing her van into her boyfriend and a pedestrian at a mall.

The pedestrian, Christopher Scott Griffith, 58, died as a result of injuries sustained when he was hit by Chanpan's van, according to the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office.

Champan was arrested late last month on two counts of felonious assault and one count of endangering a child after intentionally crashing her van into two pedestrians, one of whom was her child's father.

According to reports, she dropped off her boyfriend, Jawon Lunsford, at the Spring Grove Village Kroger on August 31. Chapman went through his phone while inside the store and discovered what she considered inappropriate text messages between her boyfriend and her sister. She then drove her van into him as he was leaving the store. Griffith was walking outside the store at the time.

Griffith died as a result of his injuries, while her boyfriend, Lunsford, had his leg broken. Chapman can be seen exiting the van after the act and running over to Lunsford in a viral video. She then punches her boyfriend several times while their 8-month-old is alone in the car.
