[VIDEO] POLICE APPREHENDED KIDNAPPERS WHO MURDERS VICTIMS IN KOGI STATE

Around March 2022, one Babatunde Orogu, 34, was kidnapped and taken to an unknown location; his phone SIM was used to negotiate a ransom of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) at two different locations.

The CIRRS operation swung into action with the help of analysis, tracking down one Abdul Shaibu 32 of age from Okpachala, Kogi state, to whom the victim's phone was traced and apprehending him.

He made a confessional statement and admitted to being a member of the kidnapping gang. He then led CIRRS operatives to Lokoja in Kogi State, where One Musa Araba "m" aged 40 years and One Ugbede Abdul "m" aged 38 years were arrested and confessed independently to having taken part in the kidnapping saga while ransom was collected.

They also stated that the said Abdul Shaibu "m," who admitted to working as a laborer under the victim, suggested the victim's murder.

They later slaughtered him on his neck with a sharp knife until he died.

Meanwhile, the operatives are working overtime to recover the body and their operational weapons.
