SEN. KABIRU GAYA'S SON WAS ALLEGEDLY MURDERED BY A BESTIE AND DUMPED IN AN ABUJA HOTEL POOL

Sadiq Kabiru Gaya, the son of Senator Kabiri Ibrahim Gaya of Kano South, has died

Sadiq, a lawyer with the Nigerian asset management agency AMCON, was reportedly murdered in a hotel in Abuja on Tuesday evening.

According to Facebook user Kabiru Ado Muhd, "Sadiq was invited by his best friend to a hotel in Abuja. He was stabbed in the chest and dumped in the hotel's pool. The friend took his phone and transferred N20m."

It is also reported that Sadiq's murder was planned by a friend for a sum of N3.5 million. Meanwhile, FCT Police Command Spokesperson Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident and stated that five suspects in connection with the murder were being held in police custody while the investigation was ongoing.

Sadiq Gaya, a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria and an LL.M University graduate in Wales, United Kingdom, was buried immediately according to Islamic rites. He is survived by a wife and two children.
