MAN WHO KILLED HIS UNCLE'S WIFE AND USED HER SKULL IN PEPPER SOUP IS CHARGED BY THE POLICE

Jeremiah Ode, 45, has been charged by the Benue State Police Command with the brutal murder of Mrs. Priscilla Adoga.

The 65-year-old woman was allegedly beheeded by the culprit, who was charged in a Makurdi magistrate court, and her head was used to prepare pepper soup.

According to Inspector Omaye Ujata, the prosecuting police officer, the terrible incidence happened on August 19 at Igwe Ochekpo in the state's Oju LGA.

According to the report, "the accused attacked the victim, his uncle's wife, with a machete in a farm, where she was working at the time, and murdered her before he beheaded her," he claimed.

"The accused in his statement confessed to committing the crime," the prosecutor told the court.

The hearing has been postponed until November 11 so that the State Ministry of Justice can provide legal counsel.
