LECTURERS, VICE CHANCELLORS, AND MINISTERS MEET BEHIND CLOSED DOORS TO DISCUSS THE ASUU STRIKE

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has convened a special closed-door meeting with stakeholders including the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, Emeritus Professors Peter Okebukola and Nimi-Briggs, and all vice-chancellors and pro-chancellors of federal universities.

"I respectfully request that the gentlemen of the press excuse us so that we can begin our deliberations," Adamu Adamu said.

Earlier, the minister bemoaned ASUU's failure to call off its strike despite government intervention.
