2023: WE ASSISTED PETER OBI IN BECOMING THE LP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE - SOWORE

Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, has revealed that he assisted Peter Obi in becoming the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP.

According to the activist, he and Falana took legal action to defend LP.

According to the AAC presidential candidate, there have been calls for Obi not to be considered for the role.

On Monday, he delivered a memorial lecture in Lagos in honor of the late human rights lawyer and activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi.

Sowore revealed that they obtained a court order, which Falana used to defend LP.

"When the Labour Party encountered a stumbling block, one of its members insisted that the LP could not present Peter Obi's candidacy. They had a legal issue.

"We went to court and obtained a judgment from the Court of Appeal, which we gave to Falana to use to defend the Labour Party and, by extension, Peter Obi's candidacy.

"Yes! I'm just telling you that we're in the business of saving people," Sowore said.
