2023: ADC FIRES ITS NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AND APPOINTS A CARETAKER [VIDEO]
ADC fires its national chairman and appoints a caretaker committee to resolve the party's crisis in six weeks
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has established a caretaker committee to oversee the party's operations in the run-up to the 2023 general election.
This is coming after the expiration of the tenure of the former chairman Ralph Okey Nwosu who stayed in power for 17 years.
The party was in disarray after Nwosu "cashed out" and fired Abia ADC chairman Don Norman Obinna.
ADC presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, also accused Nwosu of using the party to negotiate for money during electons. Nwosu then suspended Kachikwu, precipitating a party crisis that has now resulted into Nwosu's ouster as party leader.
Members of the caretaker committee are:
Senator Patricia Akwashiki - Chairman
Kenneth Odion - Secretary
Lady Anglia Johnson
Prof. Kabiru Dangogo
Manzo Ibrahim
Lesanmi Omolayo
Kingsley Temitope Ogga
Emma Dibia
