CHELSEA MOVES FOR PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG AND ANTHONY Gordon BEFORE TRANSFER DEADLINE 'UNLIKELY'

Before Thursday's transfer deadline, Chelsea's attempts to sign forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Anthony Gordon are "unlikely," with Armando Broja and Christian Pulisic anticipated to remain at Stamford Bridge.

The likelihood that Chelsea will sign forwards Anthony Gordon and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang before the summer transfer window closes has been pegged as "unlikely."

Before the Premier League transfer deadline on Thursday, the Blues have been extensively connected with Barcelona striker Aubameyang and Everton forward Gordon.

The Athletic claims that Thomas Tuchel's team is "having second thoughts" about signing the Gabonese superstar and that their chances of landing Gordon, 21, are "low.

Chelsea made a £15 million offer to sign Aubameyang earlier this month, but as neither parties had reached an agreement on financial terms or personal issues, they might back out of the deal. His 33-year-old age and hefty salary are deemed to be issues.

The "significant valuation difference" between Chelsea and Everton for the young player Gordon is thought to be the cause of the move's increasing improbability as time passes before the deadline.
