JUSTICE FOR SYLVESTER: VICTIM'S FAMILY PETITIONS JOURNALIST KEMI OLUNLOYO OVER HER COMMENT

The family of Late Sylvester Oromoni has filed a petition against journalist Kemi Olunloyo, over her comment concerning his death.

Recall that the 12-year-old was allegedly braten to death by his fellow students at Dowen College, Lagos, for refusing to join a cult. However, in a chat last week, Olunloyo had claimed that the deceased minor willingly agreed to join the cult and received the beating that led to his death, among others.

In the petition filed on behalf of the family by human Rights Lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr Femi Falana, the family called for an investigation to be conducted regarding Olunloyo's claims.

According to Vanguard, a source said the family was peeved that the journalist levelled such an allegation against their son.
