MORE CORRUPTION CASES FROM UNN: UNN NSUKKA HOUSE OF REPS SPEAKER SUSPENDED ON CASE OF CORRUPTION AND DEPUTY SPEAKER RESIGNS
The recent corruption-quake in the Student Union Government of the University of Nigeria Nsukka and Enugu Campuses is far from ceasing. It is pulling both trees and stomps from the root and quaking the entire seats in the great house.
Following the news earlier this week of the impeachment and investigation of the SUG Senate President on allegation for the embezzlement of 3.5 Million naira comes yet another case of corruption at the Upper Chambers.

The document reads:
SUSPENSION OF THE SPEAKER OF BRANCH UNION HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA NSUKKA CAMPUS ON CASES OF ALLEGATION AND GROSS MISCONDUCT.
Charges include:
1. Misappropriation of public funds totalling about N 5,370,000
2. Abuse of power by violating of court injunctions
3. Disregard for House representatives
4. Total neglect and disobedience and disregard to the SUG constitution.
Rt Honourable Ugwu Elijah stands suspended as the speaker of Branch Union House of Representative of University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus on gross misconduct and abuse of power under section 112 and section 3 ( 1 & 3 ) of the SUG constitution, 2016.
A resignation was also tended by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Aguenu Emmanuelle.
The House appointed Hon Osobie Martins to act in the capacity of the speaker until investigations are concluded. More updates will be added here
