Democracy Day protests happened around Nigeria on Saturday despite authorities efforts to stop it.
From Lagos to Ibadan, Akure, Oshogbo and even Abuja, protesters, mostly youths came out to condemn some of the frustrating happenings in the country.

FCT, Abuja
Protesters in Abuja protested despite being blocked from entering Unity Fountain.
Police gathered and blocked Unity Fountain where protesters planned to meet for protest.
Meanwhile in the same Unity Fountain, Pro-Buhari protesters came to protest as well.

Ondo State
The protesters said they were protesting against insecurity, bad governance and leadership.
Protesters in Akure matched from post office to Ojo Oba, S.O junction, Ondo State judiciary Headquarters to NEPA round about.

Osun State
The peaceful protesters led procession with placards from Okefia roundabout, through Alekuwodo area to Olaiya roundabout and back.
Oyo State
Protest in Oyo State kicked off around 9:27am at Mokola roundabout.

River State
Heavy police presence before the planned protest.
Security were already at the venue for for June 12 Protest in Pleasure Park, Port Harcourt Pleasure Park but the protesters were yet to convene.
June 12 protest happened even after police tried to discourage them.
