RECONSIDER BEFORE.................
The sounding of the battle drum is important; the fierce waging of war is important and the telling of the story afterwards- each is important in its own way. None of them can do without the other. But if you may ask which of them takes the eagle feather, it will be the story. Why do we say the story is the chief among his fellows? The same reason could be given as to why our people sometimes will give the name, NKOLIKA to their daughters-Recalling Is Greatest; why? Because it is only the story that continues beyond the war and the warrior. It is the story that outlives the sound of the war-drums and the exploits of brave fighters. It is the story, not the others, that saves our progeny from blundering like blind beggars into the spikes of the cactus fence. The story is our escort; without it, we are blind. Does the blind man own his escort? No, neither do the story, rather it is the story that owns us and directs us. It is that thing that differentiates us from the cattle. It is the mark and faces that set one people apart from their neighbours.

Believe it or not, war has never ended any conflict on earth rather what it does is to take the bitterness and hatred -the twin fuel of war- into a different plain.
