Bears stun defending champion Seahawks 34-17 on Monday Night Football...
The Chicago Bears continued their hot start to the season as they took down the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on Monday Night Football.
The 2026 season has started strongly for the Chicago Bears, but they faced a major test on Monday when they traveled to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on the road in primetime.
That challenge didn't faze them, as the Bears shut out the champions 7-0 in the first quarter and held a narrow 13-9 advantage at halftime, with Chicago's lone touchdown coming on a short pass from Caleb Williams to Luther Burden III.

The second half was far more dominant for the Bears on both sides of the ball, as they closed out the game with 14 points in the fourth quarter, with D'Andre Swift scoring not one, not two, but three rushing touchdowns to seal the victory.
It was a fantastic night for the veteran running back, who finished with 69 rushing yards and two receptions. For a team that had struggled to turn drives into touchdowns early in the second half, Swift took charge and led the Bears to victory.

For Seattle, offensive consistency never arrived. Sam Darnold was limited to 188 yards and two touchdowns, while the running game managed just 81 yards on the night as the Seahawks' struggles this season continued.
The Bears' balanced attack on both sides of the ball showed up once again, however, with 247 passing yards and 146 rushing yards on the night as Caleb Williams guided the team to a 6-2 record, closing the gap on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings.

As for Seattle, the loss drops them to 4-4 on the year. With the NFC West still wide open, they remain in second place just behind the San Francisco 49ers and are still well-positioned to turn their season around despite being at .500 through eight games.
