Watson spits blood, goes to hospital, returns to finish Packers win...

Green Bay Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-19 at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football.

Christian Watson recorded 113 receiving yards despite being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital during the game.

Quarterback Jordan Love delivered an outstanding performance with 288 passing yards and three touchdowns, making up for the Packers' struggling ground attack that managed just 66 yards on 26 carries.

Green Bay's defense was dominant as well, sacking Bryce Young six times, while Christian Watson still managed eight catches despite missing an hour of action after being taken out of the stadium for scans on a suspected chest injury.

“It was tough, honestly. I mean, I never wanted to go,” said Watson.

“They just wanted to make sure there was nothing crazy... I cleared everything and I was able to get back out,” he added.

The win lifted the Packers to 5-3, though they remain last in the highly competitive NFC North.

The Panthers, at 3-4, still sit atop the much weaker NFC South, with Chuba Hubbard providing the highlight of a frustrating night with 81 yards and a touchdown.

It was a poor start for the home team. Green Bay fumbled the opening kickoff return, giving Carolina an early field goal.

But the Packers quickly responded. Jordan Love threw a touchdown pass to tight end Tucker Kraft, though kicker Trey Smack missed the extra point under pressure, which was the only blemish.

Chuba Hubbard hit back with a short rushing touchdown and rubbed it in with a “Lambeau Leap” celebration into the home crowd.

With Green Bay's ground game once again struggling, Love connected with Watson on a 53-yard bomb.

The receiver made the catch but was forced to leave the field and was rushed to hospital by ambulance with a suspected chest injury after spitting up blood.

Green Bay kept its momentum. Running back Josh Jacobs powered into the end zone to cap a nine-play, 90-yard scoring drive.

The Packers quickly got the ball back after linebacker Ty'Ron Hopper came up with a spectacular interception.

The linebacker tipped Young's pass high into the air and was the first to come down with it.

Green Bay took advantage again. Matthew Golden dropped a 24-yard pass from Love in the end zone but held on to another one on the very next play.

After the break, Green Bay pulled away decisively as Jacobs scored his second touchdown, this time on a short pass from Love.

Jacobs who missed six games this season after his arrest following an altercation with his girlfriend, in which he pleaded no contest to battery celebrated by appearing to mimic putting on handcuffs, sparking immediate criticism online.

In a stunning turn, Watson then returned to the stadium and back onto the field wearing extra rib protection, nearly hauling in a pass on his first play back.

Down 13-27, Carolina closed the gap with a touchdown as Young threw left to Jalen Coker, who cut inside and broke past multiple tacklers to score.

Carolina's two-point conversion attempt failed, however, and the Packers defense held firm for the remainder of the game....
