Midtjylland Fight Back Twice To Draw With Nordsjaelland

Nordsjaelland barely had time to celebrate...
The game was dull for the first hour at the MCH Arena, but both Midtjylland and visitors Nordsjaelland came alive late on to produce an exciting finish.
Nordsjaelland led on two occasions, but Midtjylland hit back each time to earn a 2-2 draw in round 7 of the Superliga.
The result leaves FC Midtjylland second in the table on 15 points, with FC Nordsjaelland just behind in third on 14.
The first half in Herning offered little quality from either side, though the home team looked the more ambitious.
Victor Nelsson made his return at centre-back, providing the physical presence Midtjylland lacked without skipper Tobias Salquist.
For much of the second half it looked like more of the same. Midtjylland were a bit better, but Nordsjaelland seemed keen to slow the tempo down as much as possible.
The game needed a goal to spark it into life, and it arrived from the most unlikely source.
A deflected cross completely caught out the Midtjylland backline, leaving Mark Brink free to charge in and head Nordsjaelland in front. It was his first goal in 71 games for the Farum club.
That goal woke the game up. The last 30 minutes made up for a first hour full of scrappy tackles and turnovers. Midtjylland lifted the tempo and were rewarded in the 72nd minute when Friday Etim tapped in at the near post after great work from sub Stanley Iheanacho.
Nordsjaelland barely had time to celebrate. Elias Olafsson could only parry a cross straight to Hjalte Boe Rasmussen, who tapped in to put the visitors back ahead at 2-1.

Mike Tullberg had to go for it again, and Midtjylland turned to a familiar weapon: a long throw.
Substitute Mileta Rajovic flicked the throw on and centre-back Martin Erlic headed home to make it 2-2 in the 86th minute.
