The Dallas Cowboys locked in defensive tackle Quinnen Williams on Monday with a three-year contract extension worth $105.9 million.
The deal includes $101 million in total guarantees, with $63.55 million guaranteed at signing. It gives Williams an average annual value of $35.3 million, making him the NFL’s second-highest-paid defensive tackle behind the Eagles’ Jalen Carter, who averages $38 million.
The extension pushes Williams’ total contract to five years and $153.15 million.
Williams, 28, came to Dallas in a mid-season trade with the Jets in 2025. The Cowboys sent a 2027 first-round pick and DT Mazi Smith to New York to land him.
The All-Pro made an immediate impact. In 7 games with Dallas last year he logged 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 9 QB hits, 3 tackles for loss and 1 interception. Across both teams in 2025, he finished with 53 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 12 QB hits, 10 tackles for loss and 3 forced fumbles.
Williams has now earned Pro Bowl honors in four consecutive seasons. His lone All-Pro nod came in 2022 with the Jets, when he set career highs with 12 sacks, 28 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss, and 4 pass breakups.
The 2019 No. 3 overall pick is heading into year 8. He’ll open the regular season with Dallas on Sunday, September 13, facing the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
