Jadon Sancho has been spotted training with Flixton, a club in the 10th tier of English football, as he weighs up his options after leaving Manchester United as a free agent.

The winger signed for United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for around £73m, but never really settled at Old Trafford. He was later frozen out of the first team after posting that he felt he was being made a “scapegoat.”

After his time at United, the 26-year-old went back to Dortmund on loan, then spent a season with Chelsea where he netted in the UEFA Conference League final.

He then moved to Aston Villa on loan for 2025/26 and was part of the squad that lifted the Europa League, though he found it hard to nail down a regular spot.

Villa opted against making the move permanent, so Sancho went back to Manchester before being let go in June.

Al Rayyan in Qatar have been linked with the former England winger, who has been keeping fit with non-league Flixton while he waits for his next club.

The winger expressed his gratitude to Flixton for the training opportunity and lauded the club’s set-up in Greater Manchester while preparing for what comes next.
