Madison keys beats Amanda Anisimova to end 2025 finalist's Wimbledon run...
Madison Keys marked July 4th with a comeback win over fellow American Amanda Anisimova on Saturday, defeating the sixth seed and 2025 runner-up 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 in a third-round clash on Centre Court at Wimbledon.
Anisimova, from New Jersey, came out sharp and took control early. She broke Keys with a strong serve that her compatriot sent long, sealing the opening set in the warm afternoon sun on Centre Court.
But the big serve that produced 20 aces in her win over Sofia Kenin last round deserted her on Saturday. Anisimova struggled with her toss and was broken in both the second and eighth games of the second set.
Keys, a two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist who won the Eastbourne grass-court title last month, grew steadier and more confident as the match went on.
A match of pure entertainment 🤩

The 26th seed and reigning Australian Open champion won 76% of points behind her first serve and kept errors down, finishing with 23 unforced errors compared to Anisimova's 42.
A brilliant backhand pass earned her the break in the fourth game of the final set, and she closed out the win when Anisimova returned her serve wide.
