Mladenovic and Guo Win Wimbledon Women's Doubles for First Grand Slam Title Together
Kristina Mladenovic and Guo Hanyu beat Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani 6-3, 7-5 to win the Wimbledon women's doubles title for their first major together.

Kristina Mladenovic of France and Guo Hanyu of China beat No. 2 seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani 6-3, 7-5 on Sunday to capture the Wimbledon women’s doubles title - their first Grand Slam title as a team.
Mladenovic, a 6-time Grand Slam doubles champion from 2018 to 2022, was sidelined with a long-term injury that had her on crutches last year. She teamed with Guo at the start of this year.
“It feels like a dream... I definitely cannot believe what just happened now,” said 34-year-old Mladenovic after winning Wimbledon for the first time.
The No. 10 seeds Guo and Mladenovic jumped on Dabrowski’s early lobs and surged to a 5-0 lead. Dabrowski and Stefani, the Canadian-Brazilian duo, rallied to take the next three games, but it wasn’t enough to get the set back.
The No. 2 seeds looked more comfortable in the second set as they pressed for a break, but Guo and Mladenovic fended off two break points. Mladenovic’s powerful forehands down the line helped them hold and level it at 5-5.
Guo’s backhand returns at the net earned a break point in the 11th game, and the 28-year-old Chinese player, in her first Grand Slam final, converted it with a sharp cross-court backhand winner.
Serving for the title, a composed Mladenovic closed it out with a forehand that Dabrowski and Stefani could only hit into the net.
“I just feel so lucky to have you on my side and with this trophy now. Thank you for choosing me... trusting me,” an emotional Guo told Mladenovic.

Mladenovic said she was grateful to have Guo as her partner.
Guo Hanyu and Kristina Mladenovic, seeded 10th, defeated second seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani to claim the Wimbledon women's doubles championship.
“I had no ranking, I had a tough injury last year, and (Guo) did not hesitate at all. I am very proud to be standing here with her,” she added.
