Jessica Pegula reached her second Wimbledon quarter-final with a comeback win over Iva Jovic on Court One.
Pegula comes back to defeat Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, reaches Wimbledon last 8...
Fourth seed Jessica Pegula used her experience to come through against fellow American Iva Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Sunday, reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time to match her best run at the tournament.
Pegula lost her first set of the tournament in a messy opener that saw seven breaks of serve, but she lifted her game after that against the 18-year-old.
She served with more authority and cut down the errors, reeling off four straight games from 0-1 down in the second set and never looked back.
Jovic, seeded 16th, started to look deflated in the third set as 32-year-old Pegula pushed on toward the finish line.

“That was really tough,” Pegula said on a sunny Court One. The American has now reached the quarter-finals or better at every Grand Slam.
“Iva's a great player and brings lots of energy and intensity, and I just couldn't find my serve in the first set even though I wasn't playing badly.
“Luckily, I started to serve better.”
