World No.1s Heliovaara and Patten beaten in straight sets at Queen’s. Arevalo/Pavic 6-2 6-4 to win Queen’s doubles...
Finland’s Harri Heliovaara and Britain’s Henry Patten fell short in the men’s doubles final at the 2026 Queen’s Club Championships. Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic beat them 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets.
Heliovaara and Patten climbed to world No. 1 in the ATP doubles rankings even after losing the French Open final two weeks ago. But the top seeds couldn’t carry that form to Queen’s, losing again in a final to the El Salvador-Croatia pair of Arevalo and Pavic.
The loss spoils what had been a strong start on grass for them. They cruised through the opening round in straight sets, then battled through two three-set wins to reach the London final.
Heliovaara and Patten now turn their focus to Wimbledon. They’ll look to sharpen up as they chase a second title at SW19 together, after winning it for the first time in 2024. That remains the first of their two Grand Slam crowns as a team.
Arevalo and Pavic broke in the very first game to seize early control. They added another break in game five to move 4-1 up, and the fourth seeds never let go. They closed out the opener 6-2 on their first set point.

Heliovaara and Patten came out sharper in the second set and saved a break point in game three. But Arevalo and Pavic struck the decisive blow in game nine. The Croatian, a career Grand Slam champion, and the two-time French Open winner from El Salvador then served it out 6-4 without much trouble.
With Queen’s done, both teams shift attention to Wimbledon. The men’s doubles draw at SW19 gets underway on July 1.
