Former Italy Coach Gennaro Gattuso takes over at Lazio...
Former Italy boss Gennaro Gattuso was named Lazio’s new manager on Tuesday, per the Serie A club. He stepped down from the national team after Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup.
Lazio and Maurizio Sarri split in May following a ninth-place finish in Serie A and a Coppa Italia final loss to Inter Milan.
“The club warmly welcomes its new manager and is confident that his experience, professionalism and determination will help the club achieve its sporting objectives,” Lazio said in a statement.

Gattuso, 48, won the Coppa Italia with Napoli back in 2020.
Italy haven’t named a full-time manager since Gattuso left, and Silvio Baldini has been running things as caretaker since April.
Reports have also tied Roberto Mancini to a possible return. He coached Italy to Euro 2020 glory in 2021.
