Swedish standout Axel Mansson, last season’s European League top scorer with IFK Kristianstad, is heading to Skjern Handball on a three-year deal.

Skjern sports director Thomas Klitgaard says there’s a lot of excitement around bringing in the young Swedish star.

“Axel is a huge talent who has been chased by a large number of clubs. His talent and abilities are indisputable, and that is why we are extremely proud that he has chosen Skjern. He comes from a strong season in IFK Kristianstad, where he had a large share in their championship, while he became the leading goalscorer in the European League. This is evidence of a player with a very high level and an even greater development potential,” says Thomas Klitgaard.

The 21-year-old Swede says he’s ready for the next chapter in his career.

“I am really looking forward to pulling the green jersey over my head. Skjern is a big club in Denmark with proud traditions and has been at the top for many years. That is exactly the level I want to be a part of,” says Axel Månsson.
