Porto secured the Portuguese league title with a 1-0 victory over Alverca on Saturday, clinching it with two matches still to play.
The win put Porto nine points ahead of Benfica, who drew 2-2 at Famalicao earlier in the day.
Jan Bednarek’s 40th-minute header from a corner proved decisive, giving Porto the win and their first championship since 2022.
In Francesco Farioli’s debut season as manager, Porto claimed a 31st league title - the first trophy of Farioli’s career. Only Benfica, with 38, have won more.
Former Porto coach José Mourinho’s Benfica led 2-0 at Famalicao, but defender Nicolás Otamendi was shown a red card early in the second half.
The hosts fought back to earn a point, a result that left Porto in position to seal the title.
